ROUND TWO 1st Match-up

RedRob Sweetness!!!
GAME ONE
MANCAKE VS REDROB

Game one of round two was a high scoring, high action and high drama game. First the coin toss was Jeffed up when, Boss Junior said, "Call it in the air." It seemed simple enough, however, ManCake, unaware of what to call yelled out "beer dot com!" thinking that it was a cap from the Boss’s Fitty. It was not.
This game included a key draw by Sweetness in the sixth for one point to tie the game at 5. Then the sparks started flying as the boys had 3 triple point ends in a row. ManCake finally won the game in the 13th end 15-13.

FINAL SCORE
MANCAKE - 15
REDROB - 13
13 ends.

GAME TWO
MANCAKE VS REDROB

In a stylish and classy manner, these two novices rocked it out in the rings with the utmost respect for each other and the game at hand. In a peppering of rocks the 10th end appeared and before the fans could even catch their breath from the previous game, this match was over. ManCake had handily won it 15-8. Again ManCake, or Sweetness as he is now known, had proven that he was (and is), in fact, a force to be reckoned in the Rocks community.

FINAL SCORE
MANCAKE - 15
REDROB - 8
10 ends.

Then in a surprise announcement ManCake announced his inability to continue on into the final round, the championship match. He had a previous engagement, a speech to the CARTA youth group of Toronto called the PebbleClub, and he would not be able to compete for the championship. Therefore, as the rules state, RedRob would advance to the Championship round to meet the winner of Junior vs. Fremlin (reigning summer rocks champ). The players and crowd, though shocked, were understanding and impressed with the young talent’s conviction to the sport of rocks and its exposure to today’s fragile youth.
